A great way to learn photography is to watch others. And there is where social media (YouTube, Instagram, etc) plays a positive role. It can inspire you to get out there and shoot, find interesting subjects, topics or techniques to try.
Here is a list of some photographers I follow on YouTube:
Graham Houghton (https://www.youtube.com/@GrahamHoughton12). A real technical authority on Panasonic Lumix, and very much into M4/3 and Bridge cameras.
Kim Grant (https://www.youtube.com/@kimgrantphotography). A very different approach to photography, no techniques (sometimes) but more where she tells about here feelings when approaching a subject.
Camera Club Live (https://www.youtube.com/@CameraClubLive). Mostly focused on studio photography ideas, and very good ones to try (even if you dont have all the fancy equipment).
Simon d’Entremont (https://www.youtube.com/@simon_dentremont). Gear and techniques. Very useful reviews if you are looking for a particular camera/lens, and also techniques.
Christopher Frost (https://www.youtube.com/christopherfrost). If you want to check the very best lens review, just visit his website.
Sean Tucker (https://www.youtube.com/@seantuck). In his own words, “A philosophical approach to life and capturing light”. I highly recommend the his (too short) portrait series.
And some other, such as Adorama’s Take and Make Great Photography with Gavin Hoey (he is a star) and Snappiness for classic digital cameras.
